Weekly Investment Update
As we begin a shortened trading week for Thanksgiving, three major pharmaceutical companies have now announced success trials of COVID-19 vaccines. AstraZeneca followed Pfizer and Moderna in bringing forward new tools in the fight against the pandemic. Equity futures have responded positively to begin the week, and all major US indices are now solidly positive for the year with the NASDAQ significantly higher. New COVID-19 cases have moved significantly higher this fall, but so far the rise in fatalities has not kept pace thus far, implying that our healthcare system may be more adept at combating the disease. While we are still dealing with the societal and economic impact of the pandemic, it seems as though there is light at the end of the tunnel.
