Matthew Bowerman joined OneAscent in May 2022. He serves as an Advisor with the OneAscent Wealth Team. Matthew provides fiduciary financial planning services for clients, provides back-office planning for other advisors, and looks for ways to optimize operations and procedures throughout the OneAscent network. He holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses, and is currently working towards his Certified Financial Planning certification.
Matthew grew up in Birmingham, AL and attended the University of Alabama obtaining degrees in Finance and Operations Management. Following college, he earned his M. Div. at Beeson Divinity School.
Matthew is married to Lauren, and they have a rescue dog named Chief! Having lived in Colorado and Virginia, they are glad to once again call Birmingham their home. When not at work, he enjoys reading theology books, running, going to the gym, watching Alabama football, and hosting his family for cooking class via zoom. He is an active member at Red Mountain Church.
