About Ben
A native to Birmingham, Alabama, Ben is a graduate of Auburn University, where he played collegiate baseball. Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a finance focus. Previously a small business owner and entrepreneur, Ben joined the OneAscent team in November of 2018.
Ben’s role with OneAscent is built around serving individuals, families, and businesses. Whether it be helping individuals with their personal financial needs or helping employers impact their people through retirement plans, Ben is dedicated to helping people take care of the things that are most important them.
Growing up in a family of business owners, Ben has developed a passion for seeing owners pour into and propel their employees forward. Ben helps employers with retention and growth strategies such as financial education events, in house one on one planning, structuring incentive plans, and corporate retirement plans.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, Madison, and sons, Callen and Jaxson. Ben and his wife have now renovated two homes in Chelsea, AL and always enjoy having a project going on around the house. Enjoying God’s creation is another passion of Ben’s; hunting, golf, or coaching baseball are a few of the many ways he enjoys the outdoors. Ben and his family are members at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.

About Chad
A native of Chilton County, Alabama, Chad earned his Associate of Science Degree from Wallace Community College, Bachelor of Science in Marketing Degree from Troy University, and his Master of Education in Instructional Leadership Degree from the University of Montevallo. He also completed finance classes at Auburn University at Montgomery. His career includes time as an automobile insurance claims adjuster and as a math educator. While in education, he taught algebra and personal finance, sponsored the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), and coached fast pitch softball.
Chad has over 25 years of personal investing experience and strives to handle money God’s way. Like one of the early influences in his life, Larry Burkett, he believes that the way we handle money is one of the clearest indicators of what we truly believe. Chad seeks to help families become financially free to use the resources God has entrusted them with in order to fulfill the Great Commission.
Chad is a member of First Baptist Church, Clanton, AL where he serves on the Personnel Committee and Security Team. He has participated in short term mission trips to Africa, Guatemala, New York, Kentucky, Wyoming, and Texas. In his free time, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their two young daughters, Ellie and Everlie. He also enjoys buying, selling, and appraising old U.S. coins and currency.
